One of the VLC's members recently did a cover for a local urban magazine. The Westender attended our last meeting and they brought up the challenge of a lego tree on the next issue. For the benefit of the 7-11 age group, I'd have to suggest the Ontario Science Center. I used to practically live there in the summers when I was that age. For the adults (and children to a lesser extent) I'd suggest you give a good look at the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.ca)

I went to a Walmart in Peterborough today, and they had three new Star Wars sets: <set:7103 Jedi Duel> ($15), <set:7113 Tusken Raider Encounter> ($15), and <set:7153 Jango Fett's Slave 1> ($70). I bought the two smaller kits. Yoda's head has a (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Spotted the 8012 Super Batter Droid in a northern Toronto TRU. The price scanner even scanned it!!! $50 CDN, which I guess is pretty close to the 35 USD price. No other Episode II sets though. Hello all, Well, the first MonLUG-ParLUGment joint train show was a complete success. Both groups worked very well together and pulled off the setup like pros. We received alot of praise and good words for our efforts. We are doing it all over again (...) I had a simular problem at Wal-mart here in south Louisiana on Thursday night.. The set when scanned at the register came up with "Sale not allowed" but 20 mins later after 3 price check calls to the toy department, they came up with a price (...) Tonight in Calgary, Alberta I found Jango Fett's Slave I and the Technic Jango Fett in Walmart. They were both on the top shelf of the Lego area.
