Hi Mario!
I know you don't plan on visiting this part of the country, but I feel
obligated to make a sales pitch for the Atlantic region. If you want to get a
feel for the diversity of Canada, you must visit some or all of Newfoundland,
Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick. The biggest city in
the region is Halifax, with a population of only ~375 000, so it is not
crowded. There are tons of great parks, beaches (warmer than you think!),
festivals, B&Bs, historical parks (Louisbourg in Cape Breton, King's Landing
in NB) and *terrific* scenery. There are plenty of places to go canoeing here
in New Brunswick. And you'll never meet anyone friendlier than a Newfie.
I haven't spent a lot of time in Quebec... Quebec City is lovely, with lots of
historic buildings. Lots of fun to be had in Montreal, too.
By North American standards, Toronto can be considered cosmipolitan. For the
size of it, Ontario doesn't have a lot of natural beauty or historic sites.
(Before you Ontarians jump on me, be aware that I'm planning a vacation of my
own in Ontario this summer!) In Toronto, you could catch a baseball game,
visit Canada's Wonderland (a big amusement park) and the Toronto Zoo is great.
Out West, I have heard great things about the Okanagan, Jasper and Banff.
You may want to consider staying at B&Bs, from your list of preferred
accomodations. For a start, check out this site:
http://www.bbcanada.com/
Very important: book well ahead! A lot of better B&Bs are booked all summer.
You may also want to visit each province's website for tourist info:

Good Luck!
