  LegOz 2000.1 [Vic]

Just wondering about a couple of dates for a Victorian get-together. The possible dates are: 18/6, 25/6, 2/7 at my place in Craigieburn [address published at a later date, when location confirmed]. Alternatively, if some-one else would like to host (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: TRU SALE [3/6 ONLY]

Saw this on Page 31 of this mornings Daily Telegraph[1] in Sydney too 20% off Lego for June the 3rd only. Actually I think i Remember seeing an Advertisement on television about Kids Day, that 10% of all sales are being donated. Stores such as KMart (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  TRU SALE [3/6 ONLY]

In todays Herald-Sun, there is an ad for Kids Day which is Saturday 3/6. In the upper right corner of the add was a 20% off all lego. This is ONLY for 3/6, but there is nothing preventing Lay-buys. Hope this isn't just Melbourne, and that everyone (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Question for Todd Regarding Mark Harrison

(...) I would also like to see offers to buy, sell, trade or auction Lego within Australia okayed for .loc.au -- Pete C makes the point well. Where else Mark is allowed to post is up to .admin and Todd: any posts within .loc.au are fine by me (as a (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Calling all Aussie Lego fans

(...) Remember to check Harris Scarfe, due to their higher prices, sets can tend to linger there, there is only one in Sydney though, I think its a SA/WA/VIC and TASSIE chain. Do you get the sales that happen over here. Keep your eyes posted and (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Calling all Aussie Lego fans

Well... I'd have to say the Lego scene in Adelaide is alive and well if you judge the sort of OK selection in the shops (K-Mart, Toys 'r Us, DJs, that kind of thing), but no one is owning up to buying it, and the last exhibition was really poorly (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: Question for Todd Regarding Mark Harrison

I'll second these sentiments. Unfortunately, due to a combination of bad email server here, and software that doesn't recognise re: as an addition to a thread at the other end, my messages [including this, no doubt] seem to get lost in the (...)   Re: Question for Todd Regarding Mark Harrison

(...) It's difficult to vouch for someone who lives 1000km away (lots of miles!) Surely a stiffer penalty would have been to ban him from everywhere except loc.au or even just Brisbane. (...) This is the key issue here. Not what Mark will/will not (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.admin.general)

  AA-gun wanting new owner

I've got a coko bricks set MB05 which builds a truck with a 4 barreled AA gun on the back. This set is in a very dark green plastic, and is compatible with LEGO. It is missing 1 1x2 plate, but comes with an extra soldier fig [I think he's got 1 (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: A moral dilemma

(...) If you can use it for spares, and you sound pretty inventive, you should incorporate the bits into various inventions of your own. After taking such effort to get something, it's probably best that you benefit from the effort you took. Just (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: Question for Todd Regarding Mark Harrison

Just a minor note about the 'straw that broke the camels back'...I believe that someone in .au ASKED him to post the information there. I personally see no problem with advertising items for sale/auction/trade in .au provided it is either aimed (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

RE: Question for Todd Regarding Mark Harrison

(...) Well, I think he'd be welcome back in .loc.au as he is an extremely helpful member of our community here. I think that we'd as a group like to see auction and sale posting allowed in .loc.au. [We'd REALLY appreciate our own .marketplace] so we (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Calling all Aussie Lego fans

(...) Hi Jane, Just when we thought the last Lego in Adelaide had been sold in the trading post. We had almost given up. Great to hear of your existence, know any other AFOL's there. What's the retail/shopping scene like for AFOL's in Adelaide. On (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) I'm pretty surprised you even wrote this, to be honest. Mark's proven to you and others he doesn't feel he has to follow the rules, even if he's warned that not following them will get him kicked out of here. That someone else would be silly (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
