(...) Well, I checked the Chaddy Kmart last night, and they'd pulled all the UCS TIEs & Xwings they had last Friday. I hope this is only so they could set up a discount display.... ROSCO (23 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

Where does it say that there is 15% off at K-Mart? I went to mine today, and they had no idea what I was talking about! Can someone please point me to some information on this deal? Thanks! C (...) (23 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) Go South. Continue going South for a while and then go West. When you find a continent stop there and travel up or down the coast until you find a city.      It says it in Australia. Note that the post was to lugnet.loc.au. It confused me too, btw, but the "G-day" should'a been a tipoff. Rick Clark (...) (23 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

It was also xposted to lugnet.market.shopping and lugnet.general, which is a bit much, and why a lot of people on the top of the planet got confused. But yah, the "G-day" tipped me off too. I didn't know they have K-mart down under. FUT: (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) Cross posting to lugnet.general definitely was innapropriate in my book. Posting to .shopping is ok, but does highlight that we really should be clarifying where we believe the deal is (though it would also be helpfull for folks to recognize (...)      (...) Actually Target and K-Mart in Australia are currently not US chains, but are entirely Australian-owned (part of the Coles Myer group). Kerry (23 years ago, 28-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Attack of the star wars sales :) —Benjamin Whytcross
Oops...sorry about that :) Actually, I've used a similar approach to what I've seen done in the past for sales at TARGET, KMART, and private sales: from US posters about US only sales. [though they don't have the courtesy to also post to .loc.us.]. (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) It's an australian deal. Kmarts in Oz are run by a different company (who apparently found the cachet of the Kmart brand irresistable ?? :-) ). So they have different sales than US Kmarts.
