  Re: LegOz 2000.X - BrikWars

(...) Thanks. I had to have a lie down after (2+ dice roll to achieve horizontality, 7+ to sleep). (...) Much as I hate accounting and budgeting, There is a difference in quality issue here too. 30 nicely kitted heavy knights will go through 30 (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: LegOz 2000.X - BrikWars

(...) Sounds good to me. (...) Sounds like work, but emminently reasonable ;-) (...) Have to think about the catapults. It seems to me if I bring one, I should probably be allowed 350 points, not 300, to account for the losses I will inevitably (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: LegOz 2000.X - BrikWars

(...) Hilarity is fairly important in my fun factor. I think grossly uneven (or at least very different) forces, surprises in the scenery and great big SNAFU siege weapons add a lot to the game. Otherwise, I'm happy with these suggestions. Rationale (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: LegOz 2000.X - BrikWars

(...) 250+ figs? You guys don't mess around! I've never tried a battle of that scale, it seems like it could get out of hand real fast. If you came up with any tricks to streamline a game with such large forces, I'd love to hear about them. (...) I (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Studfest: Part the Fifth (Re: LegOz 2000.8 - BrikWars)

(...) I'm with you. For me the glorious heroic stupidity and utter incongruity is the fun. (...) TL3 is a bit more Rennaissance than Medieval (see, I've been reading my books again.....), but lack of food or religious enlightenment are perennials, (...)   Re: Studfest: Part the Fifth (Re: LegOz 2000.8 - BrikWars)

(...) Bugg..bother. I'll have a word with myself about specks and planks in eyes later. I did mean medieval, i.e. TL 2. IIRC that's what everyone's got quite a bit of, and can do some scenery (with cool barred windows) for. Some exceptions might be (...)   Re: LegOz 2000.X - BrikWars

(...) Posssibly a bit of exaggeration, more like 200 figs, hmm that's still lots isn't it? Firstly, the game took about 7 hours to play. Second, as you know mortality is very high in the game, though there were around 50 figs left at the end. (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Studfest: Part the Fifth - Brikwars (was Re: LegOz 2000.8 - BrikWars)

(...) Maybe it only felt like 250 ;-) Although we should probably do a bit of mathematics: I had 23 heavy horse, 10 musketeers, 15 archers, 4 infantry, 6 sailors, 4 babes, four siege weapon operators (the ones who fled into the forest after the (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) My army numbered 121 figs. So not counting Dave Low's forces that's really 300+ 'figs. Oh. James (who needs to work on his estimation skills) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Studfest: Part the Fifth - Brikwars

(...) And those 300+ figs were rather photogenic on the day. Kevin's 34 pics are in and cropped and ready for posting (...wait for it...wait for it!). Time to be doing some story writing, for which I will need some details. It seems to me that (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
