Finally, a meeting (:^)>
4th anniversary of the Sydney group too !

There will be:
Showing off of MOCs (even non LEGO ones. This means YOU Richard.)
BrikWars (see below)
Lots of Coke because it'll probably be hot

Maybe we should be scoffing cross ants and Freed... french fries, washed down
with bowls of caffeine (to keep with the theme of the day) ?

If you're after shopping, Warringah Mall is more or less on the way and you
should have (make?) time before the meeting starts to check out BigW, Target,
GraceBros (er... Myer?!?) and Uncle Pete's.

We usually lose an hour or two mid-meeting as people wander off to shop/eat,
so maybe we should think about lunch options between now and Sunday week.
I could whip up a batch of my chilli (certain members ate some in 2000), but
I would need to have an idea of rough numbers (reply here or email me).
With my travelling crock-pot, it's just a case of heat and eat.

Brikwars.
It is an age of bright uniforms and marching to and fro. Of horse and cannon and
charging into the fray. An age not unlike the boxing day sales (except for the
cannons... maybe). It is the age of Napoleon and Europe at war!
To play please bring ALL of the following five things.
1. Some Napoleonicish troops(if you can't muster some perhaps ask Richie if you
can borrow some)
2. A bit of paper with some brikwars statistics on it for your troops (if you're
having trouble with this e-mail James or borrow a generic sheet on the day)
3. Some buildings/trees/fences or a roll of green felt (feel free to bring all
of these things)
4. A sense of humour, a flexible attitude to history and a sense of humour (it's
really important that you bring a sense of humour)
5. Some kind of silly name for your general, including a silly accent for same.
(and yes, we're serious about the accent thing. see humour; above)

Any questions? email me!
Oh. You'll probably need my address. I'll mass mail it to anyone who replys here
or sends a question
P.S. Anyone got a shako and yellow epualets I can borrow? I'm one short.

James (who's off to build more stuff)

Anyone interested in doing MOCs based around a theme ?
For example the Space P-38 tribute............anyone ?

pete.w (eagerly awaiting the following meeting 29th Feb 2008 ;^)

(...) A date that occurs infrequently seems appropriate for a meeting that occurs infrequently! (...) My pedantic nature dictates that I must point out that cross ants are not French! Cross ants are {Austrian}!!. (...) Sounds like a good idea! (...) (...) (20 years ago, 20-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) If I recall correctly the first meet was earlier in the month. Not that it really matters. (...) The first point, time for lunch (and LEGO shopping) is why I pushed it back to 12-1pm start. Most people will have grabbed something on the way. (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
