The sets that I didn't report on before are:
7409 Tomb Robber, $5.95, 41 pieces, 14.5cpp
7410 Explorer's Boat, $11.95, 65 pieces, 18.4cpp
7415 Expedition Balloon, $35.95, 118 pieces, 30.5cpp
(Apologies if they're not accurate set names, but they should give an idea
of what's in the set anyway).
Going by the ppp of 7415, it seems there should be a small elephant in it :-)
Both 7409 and 7410 look good for pieces.

An interesting pirate possibility is 7409. People have been making
blackguards (or Brunswickers) from Captain Redbeard torsos for years - well,
at least, I think they have :-).
Anyway, it occurs to me that the new bad guy torso has a reasonable
resemblance to the Captain Redbeard one (at least, from the photos, I think
it does, but if it does come with a preprinted revolver, it could be scraped
off).
Which is good, but what about the headgear for a soldier?
It further occurs to me that taking a sharp knife (or spinning cutting disk)
and trimming 3/4s of the brim from a top hat (such as the one conveniently
included in 7409) would yield a presentable shako substitute. (If you wanted
to get carried away, you could glue part of the brim back on as a plume).
I'll post a pic of the modified top hat in the next day or so (sunlight
permitting - it's a bit dim in Sydney at the moment).

| Probably old news for those with glazed eyes.... but the Adventurers Orient Expedition sets are available to peruse in the Australian section. They even have the box images for those appreciators of cardboard products. Some of these sets should (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
