  Re: what makes a legend?

(...) While I see your point, Richard, I think the crux of the matter, and perhaps the ultimate answer to Brad's original question is this: In order to keep development/marketing costs down for LEGO Direct, rather than trying to figure out what (...) <snipped all of it> Brad, See the above posts and one thing is clear, we want more legend sets. :-) As far as modifying design due to current limitations, use you common sense. We do not want a Galaxy Explorer without wings. ;-) But we do understand (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Availability and duration of specials - a few questions.

Recently the small Life on Mars set #7303 Jet Scooter was on special for $2.50 AUD, however this set stayed there barely a week, and then vanished from the store completely. I was hoping I could order at least a few of them myself, however, by the (...) (22 years ago, 8-Nov-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Brad & All, (...) Thanks for the honor, sir! : ) (...) Hmm... it really depends on the set. Some sets, which are pretty easy to replicate in terms of parts selections, a few parts either changed or modified is fine.I think most of the LUGNET (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: 7171 tolerance (was: Not at all a pact with the devil... (values of TLC))

(...) This bracket part is in many sets. I think what occurs is this: The 1x2 plate on top is quite precisely a 1x2 plate. If you stack 1x2 plates on top of the example given, you will see how close they fit the bracket However, the surface is not (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

(...) I don't know if anyone else has seen the two new Mega Blok Pro Series sets, but the Harely-Davidson looked incredible! 1300 or 1400 pieces, all basic bricks except for a handful of specialty/accent pieces. $40.
