I was just browsing on the Lego Pitsco Dacta site (which I know is US only),
but they had a package of Red Beams:

also sell this stuff, and the DACTA site has a list of all the suppliers in
other countries.

FYI, the cost in Australia is $16.50 (including GST) for the red beam set,
which is marginally cheaper than the US price (USD 9.50 = AUD 16.95 on today's
rates).

Because DACTA is traditionally supplying schools, they do sell useful parts in
bulk parts so always check your DACTA catalogues when looking for parts.

Dennis, I was just browsing on the Lego Pitsco Dacta site (which I know is US only), but they had a package of Red Beams: (16) 1x2 beam with hole (8) 1x4 beam with 3 holes (4) 1x6 beam with 5 holes (4) 1x8 beam with 7 holes (4) 1x10 beam with 9 (...) (22 years ago, 7-Dec-02, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.lego.direct)
