I've just bought my first sets with the new colours in and the new brown colour is the same as a popular brand of chocolate (candy) here in the UK. Wow. I got my first 4755 at the BOGO50 TRU sale today, and it's worse than I thought. I could MAYBE excuse having 3 different shades spanning specific pieces. i.e., all 1x2s are one shade, all 1x4s another, etc. But no, I stacked the 1x2s, and got 3 (...) 		Were the first American Lego sets (1961) ever produced?
Jake, I know you are busy, but could you please refer this question to someone who might know. Lego came to the USA via licensee Samsonite (and Schwayder Bros.) of Denver Colorado in 1961. I received my two sets yesterday and my track was in the same condition. I also noticed the white strip on the doors was almost gray. Other than that, everything was fine. After all I think my judgement had been coloured by the condition of the boxes and the fact that I have spend way more than I need to on Lego for 2004!!! I was going to say coffee stain on the (...) I got 5, and the track metal was tarnished to a gold tint on every piece of track in all 5. It's going to be a PITA to clean them.
