That price seems very cheap.
The current  price of the Sopwith Camel is USD 49.99.
Whereas AUD 76.95 converts to just USD 37.81.
And NZD 89.95 is just USD 36.22.

This hardly seems to fit in with 'LEGO Direct exclusive items will be priced consistently with what you see on • LEGO.com,
adjusted for currency rates. '

Ummm, ok, I think that price is just right.... :)

That's the first complaint that the items are too cheap...

No. It's a complaint they are too expensive everywhere else :-)
Like if it is going to be AUD 76.95 in Australia, how come it is the equivalent of AUD 103.80 here in the UK?
Something doesn't seem quite right.

lawrence

Depends on what exchange rate they used to set the prices with initially.
They can't very well update it daily with the current plummet of the Aussie
Peso, but your point is well taken. I must say at the moment it is actually
cheaper to buy the stuff in Australia, so let's all give Jon Hayward a call
and get him to fill his bags up when he returns!! Compare some of the prices
at ozbricks.com with S@H UK and you'll see what I mean!!

I'll be keeping a keen eye on the prices, particularly the Blockade Runner
(very tasty set!!). Perhaps Brad could enlighten us as to this seemingly
huge discrepancy in the pricing system.

But I still think it's great news for the Aussies (and Kiwis)! Even better
if the pricing system remains this way!! Be warned, my friends!! Once you
shop, you can't stop!!
