Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) It's sad but I must agree this. TRUs here in Turkey stopped selling Lego. The shelves previously occupied by Lego sets are full of Megablocks sets now. It seems every time this subject comes up, lots of people have stories and opinions on how Lego should run things, and I'm no different. :) I was in a store the other day and I overheard a boy who was about 4 asking his mom for the Lego NASCAR (...) (...) Bionicle (and the whole Throwbot/Roborider/Droid theme) is revitalizing Technic in the same way that 1979 space revitalized town. I remember getting a few space sets, and I kept them in a separate box from my police station and windmill. They (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) My favorite Adult line heard in a store is "Where's the castle stuff, you know, the kind that came with the princesses." This was said to me in TRU during the Fright Knights era. (...) As I am an assistant Manager at a KB toys I can confirm that this happens alot. Most (roughly 75%) of the people that come into the store do not realize that the Mega Blocks sets are not Lego brand. One woman today actually asked me if the (...) (...) While I agree to an extent - I'll semi-defend LEGO here. AFOLs don't have all the facts in front of them (as an employee or two have pointed out to me a couple times when I've mentioned price). Ok, this is going to be a long message. Just to get who I am straight, I'm Dan Simonson, I'm 13, I've played with Legos since I was 3.
