There are at least 30-40 million people in the region who speak English very
well. In fact Australia, NZ and Hong Kong all have English as an official
language whilst many Japanese and Koreans can read English (as can many Malays
and Fillipino/as). I think it is more a reflection of TLCs general decision to
ignore those regions while they concentrate on the US and Europe.
