  Re: HP Set reviews....

Here is my only guess as to why the treasure flings out: in the books, the luggage magically transports itself onto the platform and into the castle. The only way I see it, the spring is the "magic" that ejects the luggage all the way into the (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

TLC HAD to cut costs on HP sets. think about it: they introduced more new and original elements at one time than they have ever done in the history of lego. And tons of them won't be able to be used for other themes (Hagrid, for example). So with (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: HP Set reviews....

Having built all but Hogwarts Castle (I haven't found it yet), I must say that I am pretty impressed by these sets. I enjoyed building all of them. I did have some trouble with the roof of Hagrid's Hut, but I'm not sure what could be done without (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

(...) Nope, Norbert has to be given to one of Ron's eldest brothers, who trains dragons, because Hagrid wasn't supposed to have a dragon, hence being able to hide him in the fireplace. However, if TLC gets a license for The Goblet of Fire (the 4th (...) (23 years ago, 29-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

(...) I was there yesterday (27th), and nada. They did have 2 of the new green "Supercar", the 4X4 Off-Roader (Set 8466). Fairly cool, but I'll pass. Robin (23 years ago, 28-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.ca)

"richard marchetti" <blueofnoon@aol.com> wrote in message news:GKAqHA.IAL@lugnet.com... (...) I agree, Hagrid's Hut roof is a nightmare even for the most hardened origami fan.   Re: HP Hogwarts Express and normal 9V trains?

(...) I built the train 3 days ago and I was pretty puzzled about the whole internal spring thing as well. I tried and tried and I couldn't get it to eject the treasure chest either. I was also wondering why they put hinges along the entire side of (...) (23 years ago, 28-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.trains)

  HP Set reviews....

Whoo Hooo!! My Lugnet account is fixed so I can post again! Three days ago I picked up four of the sets from Walmart. I got Hogwarts Express #4708, Hagrid's Hut #4707, Snape's Class #4705, and Diagon Alley Shops #4723. They didn't have the castle (...) (23 years ago, 28-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

(...) comes (...) a (...) I hope this post goes through since I've been cut off from Lugnet for about 4 days with NNTP problems along with a number of other Lugneters. Exactly! I picked half of the HP sets 3 or 4 days ago. The roof on Hagrids Hut (...) (23 years ago, 28-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

(...) Hmmm, I would have to agree with that. I like HP sets for the abundance of those darn good lookin' keys! I am most definetely getting Hagrids hut and The Winged Key Room, and Diagon alley for the pieces and keys!!!!!! (...) (23 years ago, 28-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

But, alas ‘tis the whelming joy that the Potter series bestows… Good fortune, --==RiçhärÐ==-- “it's preying upon the innocents!” (...) (23 years ago, 28-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: 4707 Hagrid's Hut complaints....

(...) The roof is held together with a rubberband? You need say no more. What comes to mind are those ramps for the little LEGO racers-- thin plastic with a fold pressed into them and held in place by a rubberband-- something I'd expect of a $2.99 (...)   AAHHH! MY EYES!

So...the Harry Potter sets FINALLY showed up here on California's Central Coast...found a full pallet display in the middle of the aisle at the local Wal*Mart...money's tight, so I talked the wife into letting me get just one of the $10 sets...in (...)   Re: Sneak Preview Of Movie Soundtrack

(...) Yeah! Jurassic Park III was a major let-down without his music. I didn't know he was doing the Harry Potter movie though. Cool! Ian (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

(...) I managed to catch Walmart in Sherwood Park while they were doing their fall toy re-org, and caught a semi-knowledgable employee... no estimate on when the HP stuff would be in, but she did know that it wouldn't be a shelf-stocked item (at (...)   Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

I checked a local TRU today and was told they'd have the Harry Potter sets 'early or middle of October' and I checked a Walmart and they're Lego selection was pretty poor, as usual, and no HP. Couldn't even find an employee to ask. Oh well. Adam (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.ca)

Long Running Movie Series (Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?)

(...) But on that basis, you'd have the Bond movies in the list two (or three) times, not eliminate them altogether. (...) And don't forget Adam West ;-) Cheers Richie Dulin (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Any HP sets in Canada?

I was told last week by the big downtown Toronto Toys R Us that the Harry Potter sets have arrived in the Canadian TRU warehouses on the 15th of September, and could wind up on the shelves "within a day or within a month." I've been checking three (...) (23 years ago, 25-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Lego discontinuing Ninja series?

(...) I can see Keith's point. The difference with Bond and Batman is that the lead was played by a few different people. Slightly different casts wouldn't matter, or else Superman could be put there. However, Superman retained Christopher Reeve in (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)
