  Re: minifigures in robes?

(...) Yes, I remember the offical LEGO/TLC announcement from New York Toyfare news stuff that plants Potter as a solid minifigure of standard LEFO ilk. And, yes, there is a monkey around here somewhere... Doh! They're sorted with my beasts and (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: minifigures in robes?

(...) ~~Hello?????? Did a really quick monkey run around and bite everyone in the eye when I posted. Cause it appears as though nobody saw my statement. “Confirmed” Minifig… means confirmed Minifig. I don’t recall exactly where I read it, but either (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: minifigures in robes?

(...) Well, I'm not so sure. I think nostalgia is important for a lot of AFOLs. AFOLs show a strong preference for "olden days" Lego :-) We like Star Wars because we all went to the movies and saw it; it's part of our youth and part of our (...) (23 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: minifigures in robes?

(...) I think it will be nearly identical to the method used to do Star Wars mini-figures. Most of the Jedi had robes, and LEGO examples used the cape/hood/printed torso and leg design. I doubt it will be much of a problem or that they would do (...) (23 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Trailer on MSN.com

(...) Sorry, Mark, There's was something funny about MSN's site this morning, I couldn't seem to recreate the link after copying it. (23 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: minifigures in robes?

(...) I've been toying (no pun) with the images at LEGO to try to get the scale of the new figs. The seem to be the same 4 brick/1 plate height as the traditional figs, just with more detail (2 stud feet, sculpted ball socket heads, etc.). Dryden (...)   Re: minifigures in robes?

(...) I do believe that it was already 'confirmed' that Harry Potter will be in Minifig scale! -R (23 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: minifigures in robes?

I wouldn't hold your breath for traditional minifigs for Harry Potter. The demographic is younger folks. Take a look at Max in the new Creator line: (URL) that tousled hair, just print some glasses on the face and you have everyones favorite (...) (23 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)
