  Re: new set connectability?

(...) Hi Adam. Yes, the new Harry Potter (castle) sets are made to the modular design, just like the old ones. So you can build them together, just as you like. I scanned the danish catalog a while ago. This show a picture, of how Lego connects all (...) (22 years ago, 25-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  new set connectability?

The new Harry Potter sets are not yet available in my area, but I like the look of what I've seen so far from the few pictures that have been made available. My question is this: I thought I saw on one of the advertisements the statement, Return to (...) (22 years ago, 25-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

(...) ... (...) Er, no, *my* fault. In my jumbled mess of a memory, I thought that was revealed in the 2nd book, sorry. I should've realized that I might remember bits from the 3rd and 4th books and not remember the exact sequence of revelations. (...) (22 years ago, 23-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

(...) Ah that's no biggie, like stated earlier, it really doesn't reveal much about the story. I knew it was a spoiler but I'm a sucker for that stuff. I'm at the point in the story where he is starting the second task/challenge. I'll probably be (...) (22 years ago, 23-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

(...) You're right...my fault. But by the time I had realized that portions could be read in the web interface preview and that I forgot the spoiler space, I had posted. I usually strictly adhere to spoiler space in alt.fan.harry-potter...I even (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

(...) That text is from the Goblet of Fire; hence the "four years ago" part of it... They don't mention it in the first movie, either. In fact, I don't even think we see Fawkes in the first movie (or book). James (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

(...) No, not entirely. Matt *did* warn of a spoiler in the subject header, but if you glance at the post on the web interface, it's hard to avoid reading it. The customary thing to do is to place the spoiler well into the post so you have fair (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

Not to be a wise-behind, but the text comes from the first book. It is also in the first movie. So if you hadn't read the first book or seen the first movie then it would have mattered about this info. There was nothing new revealed information (...)   Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

Crap, wish I hadn't read that. Ah well it doesn't reveal that much about the story. Oh well, my bad, ha ha. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely [Now contains GOF spoilers]

(...) 'Tis true: "Exactly," said Dumbledore. "Harry's wand and Voldemorts wand share cores. Each of them contains a feather from the tail of the same phoenix. This phoenix, in fact," he added, and he pointed at the scarlet-and-gold bird, perching (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Harry Potter Phoenix Deely

(...) No, they never mention where the feathers for Harry and Voldemort's wands come from. It's just Dumbledore's pet, like Harry has Hegwig and Ron has/had Scabbers. If that is revealed in the latter half of Goblet of Fire then I wouldn't know, (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

Re: Harry Potter (CofS) and monster sets good for new elements

(...) This element is actually made of green plastic? Or is only the design green? The catalogue makes it out so that the plastic looks black. I note that most of the prices for the HP line are generally better than the price:element ratios of past (...) (22 years ago, 20-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Harry Potter (CofS) and monster sets good for new elements

....and improved ones too... :) The Chamber of Secrets has the phoenix, Ginny's red hair (in the straight, parted look), Gilderoy Lockhart pinkish suit, and blonde coiffed hair, not to forget the awesome printed serpent shield, and serpent wall (...)   Re: HP Spiral stairs--question

(...) Great! Thanks for your time and help. Best, Jonathan (22 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: HP Spiral stairs--question

(...) Yup. You can just stack 'em right on top of one another in a straight column if desired. (...) Not at all. They stack loosely, and don't have any sort of locking mechanism at all, really (ew). If you lifted up an HP set with the stairs up, and (...) (22 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  HP Spiral stairs--question

Hello, Does anyone know if each step of the spiral stairs found in a few HP sets can be stacked directly upon each other without forming the staircase? How solid would it be? Would there be any space between each step? I have thoughts of making (...) (22 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  4728 Escape Delivered.

I got my new Harry Potter sets yesterday. Unfortunately yesterday was also the release of Disney/SquareSoft's "Kingdom Hearts." I didn't have enough time to play with all the LEGO sets--I was running around in Wonderland. I did build 4728 Escape (...) (22 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: HP Train and Tracks.

(...) Embarassment? What embarassment? Nonsense. Rather, if you'd looked at the rest of the instruction book, you might not have decided to post here (and hopefully discovered some other useful knowledge)... Hope to see you again soon.   Re: HP Train and Tracks.

(...) Duh. If I would've looked at the rest of my instruction book, I could've saved myself from embarassment. Thanks everyone for being so patient with me. (...) I'm going to buy this set, and some tracks, so my Hogwarts Express has a place to run. (...) (22 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: HP Train and Tracks.

(...) ... (...) ... Here's a wild and crazy idea. If you think a thread should be added to the FAQ, how about cross-posting it to lugnet.faq? Thanks Cary (22 years ago, 17-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.faq)
