I got my new Harry Potter sets yesterday. Unfortunately yesterday was also
the release of Disney/SquareSoft's "Kingdom Hearts." I didn't have enough
time to play with all the LEGO sets--I was running around in Wonderland.
I did build 4728 Escape from Privet Drive last night. Like many of the TLC
Harry Potter sets, it has FAB parts, but less than substantial structure. I
LOVE the tan 1x4x3 windows with the brown latticed panes, and will buy a few
more copies of 4728 just for the windows. I like the look and shape of the
car, but want to redesign the insides to recoup lost cargo and engine space.
I also built 4731 Dobby's Release. Great parts for the $7 price point. The
and Dobby minifig, Griffindor sock (say stockings for a mantle this
Christmas) and two paned arched windows are alone with the $7 . The Dobby
head is made of a softer more rubbery material that ABS, more akin to
Hagrid's beard, but not as soft. Very clever design to get two "hidden"
caches in such a small set.
