  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) Well, they obviously have their sites set too low. I can't believe the "how many LEGO products do you own?" topped out at 10. Geez. (...) It could be they didn't want to scare off casual users/buyers. "Who the *heck* would own 100+ sets? Those (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) Yeah, that was kind of a disappointment... I would have expected at least something like 20 or maybe even 50... (...) I think probably there's more of a danger in it in this respect. If you bought your kids 12 sets, and you therefore fit in (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) <snip> (...) I can't think of *anyone* I know, nephews and neighbors included, that don't have either 0-1 or 10+. James (URL) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) I know a few... mostly, I'd say people fall in the "under 10" category or "way over 10" category. My younger brother and sister's collection (they don't care for it nearly as much as I) is about 4 or 5 sets... Also, our neighbors family has a (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) <snip> I guess this begs the question however. Would these people be going to the LEGO web site and filling out the form? If they are not that "into" LEGO I would guess not. I am sure that there are plenty of folks out there that don't have (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) inside (...) True. I was just thinking that with Primo/Duplo, then Lego, it's really easy for a family to climb past 10 sets, especially when you consider the dozen or so sets under $5.00. Also, it strikes me that the people who aren't into (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) Yep. That's exactly why I said I'd expect to see numbers VASTLY in the 10+ range, and maybe only a couple token entries in the less than 10 categories. Hence, despite the fact that the 'majority' of households have less than 10, the data will (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) That was my initial reaction, but it depends on how much this sweepstakes is promoted. Offer someone the chance to win $2,000 worth of a pricey line of toys, and they are *much* more likely to give you some marketing info, regardless of their (...) (...) Sort of like: if one hundred AFOLs showed up at Enfield's front gate and said "we would like to speak to marketing". Think TLG might get the idea that somethings happening out there ? Ray (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)
