Wow. What a concept! I can see Riker and Data walking around Billund,
Riker beaming over his Town Jr. set, and Data carring his minifig-scale
Great Wall of China with one arm...
How is playing with Lego on the holodeck less real than playing with LDraw?
(1) Arguably, holodeck Legos *might* "feel" real (2), but you couldn't take
them anywhere. In order to show them off, you'd have to publish them
electronically. Plus, the electronic toy is much, much less expensive than
the actual brick.
Personally, I would get a huge kick from holodeck Legos, since I wouldn't
have to spend money on the pieces (instead I'd have to subsidise the huge
cost of the holodeck), and I could choose any user interface I want, from
"Brick-O-Rama Tactile GUI v2.5" to "Space God Point-N-Click". Plus, the Web
pages would be staggeringly awesome. You wanna see my new dropship model?
From the inside? During a stormy descent over Saturn? With Mynoks? :-,

1. I know, a huge can-o-worms here, but please keep on topic, y'all! :-P
2. Picard might be able to tell the difference...
