    6419 Paradisa Question —Mike Walsh
I recently had the opportunity to buy the 6419 ((URL) Rolling Acres Ranch set from an individual. I don't have any Paradisa sets nor do I know much about them. My daughter is getting interested in LEGO and really likes the "LEGO for Her" bucket. My (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —Matthew Miller
(...) The best way to answer this sort of question is to do a Deja News search and a search of the LugNET marketplace groups for the set number. You'll get an idea of what other people are willing to pay for the set. Then, of course, you can think (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —Scott Arthur
(...) For this sort of price, Belville sets are a much better buy... but it does mean giving up the mini-fig scale. Once you daughter gets a belville fig, she'll never touch a mini-fig again. (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —Simon Robinson
(...) I don't know about that particular set, but I'm getting a growing impression that Paradisa sets generally are valued quite highly. I know I've now been clobbered a couple of times on Ebay on Paradisa sets, despite my bidding well above the (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —John Neal
Since they are no longer offered by TLG, you will pay a premium for Paradisa (a lot of closet pink fans out there;) Maybe introduce your daughter to Belville, or Scala. Watch out, however, because if your daughter is like mine, she'll take a fancy (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —Simon Robinson
Err - John. I - er - don't have a daughter. I'm nowhere near having a daughter. I'm not even part of a couple yet. And not only that but when I do start going out with someone, I kinda hope it'll be with a girl who doesn't want any children. I buy (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —Scott Edward Sanburn
I bought the House version of Paradisa (Poolside Paradise) because of the cool black car (Which turned into a Corvette, naturally! :) ) I also wanted a nice house, and I still have it as my house to this day. I am planning on remodeling it soon. Oh, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —Gary R. Istok
(...) Yes, those Paradisa sets were overlooked by a lot of AFOLs. Maybe the pink pieces were a turnoff. I did manage to buy a few. My favorite is that dark pink (magenta) colored oval shaped plastic case set, a freestyle set I believe. I picked up (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: 6419 Paradisa Question —John Neal
(...) Pray tell! I have *already* built a pink passenger train car. It is not easy, given the constraints of the elements available in pink. The whole GMLTC hates it (they hate *everything* I make;) John Gerlach says he gets a toothache just (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Pink, pink, and more pink —John Gerlach
(...) Ok John2, you have to explain to the world WHY I say I get a toothache every time I look at it -- I call it the "cotton candy car"!! And when John2 comes up with 2,000,000+ bricks, the GMLTC is going to build a SECOND layout, this one designed (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Pink, pink, and more pink —Steven Barile
I though I coined "you go boy" on lugnet.trains! With the short train web ring thread. I guess it didn't stick, neither did the train web ring??? Is there a pic of the Pink passenger train car. I have been all over pink and lt blue and mint for (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)
