What pieces do you wish existed?

Hello all,
I have a list of pieces that have been bugging me for a while. Why? They don't
exist! It seems like TLG can do mondo-super-juniorized pieces that can be used
with a certain type of model, but why don't they make simple basic pieces that
would be very nice to have? These are the pieces I wish were in production:
1x2 double-ended hinge plates. There are loads of 1x6's that need some thought
in how to use, so why not 1x2's? I can think of a dozen uses for a piece such
as this.
Odd length beams. 1x1's and 1x3's don't cut it. Why not 1x5's, 1x7's, 1x9's or
even 1x11's? </rant>
What pieces do you all wish existed?

(...) Let's see... 2x3 low/medium slope outside corner (low slope on one side, medium on other) (note the above would HAVE to come in left and right versions) 3x3 low slope inside corners 1x3 low slope apex ends (tri-slope) 3x3 low slope apex (...) (25 years ago, 14-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

My list includes more generic pieces like 1x1 sloped brick (no stud on top), 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x4 plates with studs on BOTH sides. 3x3, 3x4, 4x4, 4x5, 4x6 bricks. Also 1x5s and 1x7 bricks. These have lots of possibilities (...) (25 years ago, 14-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Greg Majewski wrote in message ... (...) [...] (...) Hehe, does this include RCX inputs and outputs? The list could get pretty large - Mmmmmm, miniature video camera with built-in vision-processing chip ;-) More seriously, though, I feel that it'd (...) (25 years ago, 14-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

I want halves. There are a number of pieces that form the entireity of some shape that I wish came in halves. I won't try to exhaustively list them but here are a few examples. Fenders. There are two 2x4 pieces used in a lot of vehicles, one with (...) (25 years ago, 14-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

No! No! No! There's already too many different Lego pieces. Everytime they bring out new pieces it just becomes harder to keep track of what's out there. Lego should stop designing different bricks and start producing more sets that make imaginative (...) (25 years ago, 15-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) The piece that I've been wanting for about fifteen years is a 1x3 plate with two center studs. It would make offsetting stuff much more stable. Jeff (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) None of this really gets in the way (I just figure out some other approach) but I might as well mention them because I do wish they existed (-: The mysterious missing #4 angle brick. At one point about 6 or 7 years ago LEGO phased out piece (...) (25 years ago, 19-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
Re: What pieces do you wish existed?

(...) I thought of another one. It's not a piece per se, but I wish the wrists on Technic figures had ball-socket joints, just like the ankles. Scenes like these: (URL) have been much easier to do "right" if only the wrists could move like real (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)
