The story can be found, if I did the link right, at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/06/27/wlego127.xml

Is the article’s quote that Adam Reed Tucker has a 10 million piece collection accurate?

If so, that should easily pass Conan & his uncle for the largest AFOL collection.

Uh, he was passed LONG ago. I’m pretty sure there are more than a few BL stores with more bricks for sale than they own.

The GMLTC isn’t big on tooting our own horn. Heck, our website probably hasn’t been updated in a year or more.

Conan and Chuck’s collection is probably between 2.5 million and 3 million bricks. Obviously we don’t have an exact count, but we’ve had several people with experience in large collections (former employees, former model builders, etc...) give their best guestimates, and that’s what we’ll go with.

Besides, it’s not the size of the collection, it’s what you do with it. I’ve seen some incredible models that had less than 50 pieces...
