Is there any sets where Lego has included references to other trademarked names. One example I can think is Jeep, for the 711 Jeep CJ-5 set. Are the ferries (Stena, Silja), and Maersk, names copyright/trademarks? Any others? Keep on bricking, dave (19 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

Even if you exclude the movie and TV licenses (Star Wars, Bob The Builder etc), there are still many: Shell (there are many shell sets) Mcdonalds (the Mcdonalds Drive Thru set) Exxon (more gas station sets) Many licenced/labeled promotional sets (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) LEGO has made a lot of promotional stuff for other companies, like the Falck and BRF minifigs, but these are single items. If you are talking sets, there's indeed the Scandinavian companies you mentioned (Maersk, Silja, Stena), and more like (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) Dave; If you want to include pre-building block lego the 1:43 cars/trucks (Modelbiler) were all licensed from Chevolet. Packaging, etc even include the Chevolet trademark. (19 years ago, 13-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) Good point Dave, I have never seen any acknowledgement of trademarks on any of the old 50's-70's Esso or Shell items. Ditto for the 1:87 cars/trucks. No box or brochures (that came with these items) had acknowledgements either. On the 1:87 (...) (19 years ago, 13-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) The current line of Ferarri sets has a holographic sticker attached to each box with Ferarri Officially Licensed Product or some such text. Along with that is a serial number. I do not know of any other LEGO products with a serial number of (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)
