Re: So TLC can build and sell decent sets if they really want to... —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Can you get a little better provenance on this for us? I've been fooled by fakes before... this one has some aspects that make it look fake to me. But then my German isn't good enough to puzzle out everything it says and I am too lazy to type (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: So TLC can build and sell decent sets if they really want to... —David Georgiades
I typed in the part off to the side and it translates: "Exclusively for the specialized trade". So maybe this won't be available to the general public. (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.general)

For our American member, here a (bad) translation from the French text : The house you dream of out of bricks What does one associate first to the topic of construction? - A house ! - TLC imply again finally into this very liked topic and much (...)         Re: So TLC can build and sell decent sets if they really want to... —Ed McGlynn
(...) Seems fake to me. The context of the web address indicates that this was supposed to be a page from a catalog, but it's not. It's a single sheet of printed material, with a white edge, no page number, and elusive text description. No way would (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Try replacing the "6" with other (lower) numbers after 'Katalog' in the url & it will appear to be a page from a catalog. For my uses, the tiles would be nice. I imagine some people would like the red slopes. But, as far as the construction or (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Maybe LEGO isn't trying to copy MB per se, but rather making a statement, that MB dragons aren't fit for anyone older than 4 ;-) --Anthony (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: So TLC can build and sell decent sets if they really want to... —Dave Schuler
(...) To me, this looks more like a copy of LEGO's own King Leo stuff, rather than a nod to MB's products (which are, of course, vastly superior!). 8^) Dave! (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yes, that's how I came to my conclusion, among other things you can glean from the web. The timestamp for the other Katalog files is the same, while Katalog6 is about a half hour later.        (...) Hi, when you translate the German text and things said on the 1000steine-forum, there are some inconsistancies (pfewww what a word) aswell: The catalog states not before early 2005, but someone gives a chance to pre-order for 39,99 instead of (...)       (...) What I find strange is the two windows being so close together there's no room for shutters, and more importantly, the grey round plate in the column is a brick too high. Lego would never publish a photo of a set with a mistake like that. Duq (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.general)

(...) Hi, we've got the new catalogue of the second half of 2004 (pic1) on May 25th. The dealer (well known to us) showed us the brandnew two-sheet dealer-info of #4886, too and allowed Thekla to make a photo. The pics were posted on 1000steine.de, (...)
