  Is it Finals time?

Just curious if it is final exam time for people who are in school. I have noticed that things have been a bit quiet here this week. This seems to happen every so often and around the time that many Lugnet members are busy with the end of a school (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) My vote goes for 1991 or 1992: (URL) Team was great that year. I think I've started a fixation for Model Team sets... Technic wise '97 was a good year with large and cool models like 8479, 8480 and the 8880. My vote for "best year since I gave (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Make Your Own HiTechnic Style Radio Control?

(...) I have posted the web page that explains how Radio Control Systems work and how to modify a radio control servo to drive Lego motors. The web page is: (URL) and comments are welcome. Actually, lugnet.market.shopping is the correct place. Buy-sell-trade is for posting offers to buy or sell something. --Bill. (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: LEGO sponcoring an ASCAR racer

(...) Snip... Error correction... Okay, appearently the Lego "Racers" ASCAR is racing in England. This is rather confusing as there is an ASCAR series in Australia. I apologize to anyone who I may have totally confused with my confusion. It's still (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego shop in Köln, Lego shop in Billund

The exchange rate is app 6.6 DKK = 1 USD, so it is more like 6 USD / 100g It used to be ~7 DKK = 1 USD, which would be even better... S BTW: most of the links here do not work, the same goes for the forum at ISCC Reinhard "Ben" Beneke (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.de, lugnet.loc.nl)

Re: Lego shop in Kln, Lego shop in Billund

(...) Just got back from Billund, was in Koln in December... In Billund, all standard 1*x and 2*x bricks/plates are available in every major color. Several types of minifig parts, flowers, trees, various trans plates/bricks etc are also available. (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.de, lugnet.loc.nl)

G'Day First off, I aplogize for posting this to general, but (you knew there was a "BUT" didn't you, there's always a "BUT") I have received two of these this morning and it looks like my email address came from lugnet users. This is NOT to cast (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: When did "extra's" start?

(...) Well, I think you have found the reason here; 6952 uses 2 1x1 trans-yellow round plates, and they are there as a pair as you described. Still I find it odd that theres no other extras, like the levers, of which the set uses 8; in a modern set, (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: When did "extra's" start?

I remember that there used to always be extras of the 1X1 round plates; especially when the set used an odd number of them. Way back in The Day, the 1X1 round plates came in pairs on a sprue, so a set always had an even number of them. For (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.general)
