What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

Hello all, The "favorite Lego part" topic was cool, but you couldn't really debate on usefulness since there was anything from bricks to motors to pins to tools to hairpieces. Wheels on the other hand can be compared :) Mine is this 20 x 30 rubber (...) (21 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) I am not certain which parts they are, but the tires and hubs used on this set are probably among my favorites: (URL) I probably have fewer of these than any of the others, but maybe that is why I like them. These are great for when you build (...) (21 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

(...) My favorite LEGO wheels were the ones that had the little metal pin in the back of the wheel that had to be set in a special 2X4 brick. The special brick had holes on all four sides. I'm going back to the early 70's to my first LEGO sets. I (...) (21 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

(...) I still have 4 of those (4 wheels and 4 bricks), left over from the old Moon Lander (my first Lego set ever, got when I was 4). Maybe I should put them in my BrickLink shop, they're still in decent condition. (21 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) (URL) as it is the only way to get free-wheeling pulleys without taking a drill to these (URL) they're not 1 stud wide, so they "float" along the axle. This can be useful, but generally it's a bit of a bummer. ROSCO (21 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) Roger that, these are some of my faves too (see MTW-5001). Hard to get in multiple colors though. (21 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

Mine would have to be the wheels from the 8448 super street sensation. Just perfect for using on my large scale creations. (21 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

Apparently the stupid "divorce" topic is more interesting than a genuine Lego topic, in general discussion no less. *sigh* (21 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

(...) Mine are the following: (URL) beefy, realistic looking tyres and rims. I only have six of these but wish I had at least twice that many. Regards, Allan B. (21 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

(...) The tyres are different, they just use the same rim size. The bigger tyres, apart from being in many Technic sets, are found in this classic space set: mobile rocket transport. (URL) smaller tyres are the ones on the front end loader just (...) (21 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

(...) It's too bad the 8457 set comes with only 2 of them, though :( And Lego really should have made more vehicles with the Barcode Truck wheels, they really are that good, the 8462 tow truck would have been much better with those. (21 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

(...) It looks like they would be most useful on very large cranes, or in creations where you can't find free holes to put 3 length axles in (for the standard pulley). Maybe I should order a bunch of them, they don't come in any Technic set... (21 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What are your favorite Lego WHEELS of all time?

(...) Yeah, it's a bummer. However you get two of a lot of different wheels so bying two sets (or more) is recommended if you like the wheels. It will produce a huge amount of clear cylinders though, but I eventually found a use for them. More on (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: The biggest of all time!

(...) I'm sure glad I could find a dozen of them cheaply on bricklink, because as you say, they've become pretty rare on newer sets. (21 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)
