I've got torso's like this in other sets. Since I don't have any of the
soccer sets I'd have to say they are the only ones with it. I noticed
this too.. I believe it began with the new Ninjas that I really noticed
it.. don't remember getting many sets before then..

| (...) Right. So the torso-mold-replacement seems to have happened between the production runs for 1998 and 1999. Right about the time the soccer sets would have been produced. Steve (26 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.general)
