Hi all, I was just looking at the total volume of posts per group and was surprised at something: As expected, themes like castle, space, star wars, and trains are among the highest volume with 16000, 18000, 14000, and 19000 posts. These really seem (...) (22 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)

(...) I'd say that a portion of the reason why some areas have more post's is definitely population, more people, more post's. That's not all of it though, some of it is the length of time the theme has been around, Harry Potter is a good example of (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yeah, it is a bit surprising that .town, though it's more represented in the trains newsgroup, has little showing on the mainstream when it comes to posts. Guessing people more often than not post to .trains due to the fact it's an easier way (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)

(...) Well, the robotics subgroup has a couple things going for it. #1, it got a head start. Back when all the theme subgroups started up (Sep 18, 1999*), robotics already had 14,386 posts. Same goes for the Star Wars and Trains subgroups (although (...) (22 years ago, 5-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)
