Yeah, it is a bit surprising that .town, though it's more
represented in the trains newsgroup, has little showing on
the mainstream when it comes to posts. Guessing people more
often than not post to .trains due to the fact it's an easier
way to get your town layout ideas across, and that lugnet
is mostly comprised of either sci-fi, castle or train related
enthusiasts. Go figure.
I heard somewhere that lugnet is 70 perent castle and train,
although I'm not sure if that is true anymore. That was about
a year ago I read thatm so it mad be a tad outdated.

Nah, too bad, I think it's an outright waste of forums, but
that's my opinion. Most of those themes can either be
channeled into the larger theme groups
i.e harry potter > castle
western >train
I'll try not to be redundant, you probably get the idea.

Yeah, Technic is pretty ingenious, and a lot of people here
seem to have that inventive quality. Have you noticed that the
same applies for CAD? (27000 plus posts, crazy, eh?)

Most of the posts, I believe, are theories and/ or questions
relating to robotics and the assorted periphreals that accompany
mindstorms. Also that programmable RCX brick probably gets a lot of
posts as well, due to the fact that programming just doesn't
convey well to some (myself for instance :)

| Hi all, I was just looking at the total volume of posts per group and was surprised at something: As expected, themes like castle, space, star wars, and trains are among the highest volume with 16000, 18000, 14000, and 19000 posts. These really seem (...) (23 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)
