Well, the robotics subgroup has a couple things going for it. #1, it got a
head start. Back when all the theme subgroups started up (Sep 18, 1999*),
robotics already had 14,386 posts. Same goes for the Star Wars and Trains
subgroups (although they had a much smaller head start). #2, the robotics
subgroup consists of *some* newsgroups which aren't "Lugnet" per se. And of
course, #3, anyone who's techhie enough to enjoy Lego robotics probably also
is probably into posting questions and answers to newsgroups, etc. :)

(*) - Ah, I remember that day. Checking Lugnet, and realizing there were
things like a *CASTLE* subgroup! And *SPACE*! I was so enthused...

| Hi all, I was just looking at the total volume of posts per group and was surprised at something: As expected, themes like castle, space, star wars, and trains are among the highest volume with 16000, 18000, 14000, and 19000 posts. These really seem (...) (23 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)
