  Re: New legend is up

(...) I think the set stands as a fine example of traditional LEGO building using fairly standard bricks, slopes and plates. I wouldn't change a thing. :) Of course, also remember, I was only offering this an an example of the _type_ of smaller set (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) Indeed. But I think it's important to get a better handle on what's desirable and what is not. For me, anyway, if it's pre minifig era, it's not that interesting of a set. (regardless of whether it has slopes or inverse slopes or what have (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) In what way? Some sort of unofficial vote perhaps? Or are you referring to something else? (...) This is probably true for some people. Though I'm not sure how the minifig and good set design are related. (...) And to me they are interesting. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) Agreed. And I still wonder ONE thing - if the 375 reissue would have been noted to be released in GREY instead of yellow, how would the voting have gone then? I voted for Main Street. I have ZERO interest in Castle. But if they would have done (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) I would as well. For the same reason. I could turn it into buildings other than a castle. I wonder if there is any harm in LEGO even _considering_ an idea like this? That is..... rereleasing an old set in a color that didn't exist when the set (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: New legend is up ))Color Variants((

(...) It’s a great idea, and something I believe has been discussed here before. I personally sense that a Dark Gray, Gray, or ultra cool “light Blue” 375 would be outstanding choice set to deliver a variant reproduction offer. (...) The topic of (...)   Re: New legend is up

(...) Oh yeah, I would've voted for an all grey 375 too! <drool> And not just because I'm a castle fan either! -Bryan (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

First let me say that I would like to see some smaller sets rereleased as well as large ones. Sets the size of Guarded Inn, Pizza to Go, etc are the backbone of the line and sell in larger quantities as new sets. So I have no argument with the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

In lugnet.general, Allan Bedford writes: <LEGO(r) should consider rereleasing sets in other colors> I don't think anyone would argue this point. Ben aus BS in particular would agree with you and has passionately argued against the same color in the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) LEGO still has blue as a colour? ;-) Jude (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

... (...) Actually, I not only totally agree with Tom and Alan here, but let me take it 1 step further. Colour is very important to me; I think what makes the Jedi Starfighter and Episode II slave I look so good (other than the specialized pieces (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) How can you reconcile saying that this set "looks clunky and outdated in blue" with claiming that (URL) "stands as a fine example of traditional LEGO building using fairly standard bricks, slopes and plates"? Cheers Richie Dulin (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New legend is up

(...) a) Traditional LEGO built models often do look clunky. (old school stuff that I'm always harping about) I didn't mean it as a slam against them, just kind of stating the obvious as I saw it. b) I think the grey makeover would make it look ever (...)   Re: New legend is up

(...) I don't know, I think 384 stands up pretty well. Sure, it doesn't have seats, and perhaps is a bit short for minifigs, so it's not perfect, but Steve Barile's looks nice on the PNLTC mall layout (I haven't heard anyone comment on the fact that (...)
