Hyperbole on Ebay is often ridiculous. I remember seeing a lot of one or
two hundred Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazines a few weeks ago. The
seller was going on and on about how this was probably one of the largest
collections in existance. I recall thinking to myself that I probably
have that many AHMMs (picked up incidentally in lots where I wanted
something else) and I don't even collect AHMMs as such. . .

Huh?
http://listings.ebay.com/aw/plistings/list/all/category18998/index.html
lists the subcategories of LEGO as including "Bulk Bricks, Lots" and
"Sets".

Don't they have to pay the listing fee again if it doesn't sell the second
time around? If sellers would rather pay Ebay than hold inventory or
lower their prices they're welcome to do so in my book.
My major irritant at Ebay is sellers who won't tell you upfront how much
shipping will be, what forms of payment they accept, or even what they're
selling. . .
