Don't worry all!
The name and maybe a bit of the principles of Duplo may dissapear but the
bricks have not. LEGO Explorer still contains sets with DUPLO blocks,
however, Explorer does also contain some different types of toddler and baby
toys. Another point in the change is to combine Primo and Duplo into one
name. I know all this because the Lego Imagination Center at the Mall of
America in Minnesota, where I work, just received Explorer recently. I was
also told that Explorer will most likely not be sold in most stores because
of a surprising lack of interest. Hope I cleared some things up.
