    Monorail Question —Nick Goetz
I am hoping that someone can fill in the gap. I believe there are three monorail sets. I am aware of 6991 Unitron and 6399 Airport. Can someone please tell me what the third is. Thank You. -Nick (26 years ago, 29-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) The 3rd is classic "White space" set number 6990. I own it. Rene (26 years ago, 29-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Also sprach Rene Virsik: : The 3rd is classic "White space" set number 6990. I own it. What is 'classic White Space'?      (...) That's it. The other space set is a Unitron monorail. From Tom McDonald Anti-spam block in place. (URL) what you can, but behave yourself. We'll have more, right after this. (26 years ago, 29-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) why Airport shuttle isn't 6993 will always be a mystery to me. It's not used, nor is 6992. (26 years ago, 29-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Monorail Question —Joshua Delahunty
(...) 69xx is space. The Airport Shuttle is Town, hence 63xx (could've been 66xx or 65xx, but 6399 is where it came up at the time it was released). Since 6921 (accessory track) was released with the first shuttle (a space shuttle set), it has the (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Monorail Question —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Well that's certainly the generally accepted theory. But to me, of course, the fact that they are Monorail trascends the theme and should have been the superior factor in deciding the numbering scheme to be used for the sets and the track (...)         Re: Monorail Question —Todd Lehman
(...) Space Boy jumpin' in here... To me, the monorail sets definitely fall into "Space" and "Town" as themes (systems) because of their numberings and because of their constituent elements. IMM (in my mind), Monorail sets don't transcend themes (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Monorail Question —Joshua Delahunty
(...) 6399 is an Airport Shuttle. It has a hamburger stand and people with hair and "town torsos". Trees and park benches and street lights. It's a town set. To me, it's more a town set than it is a monorail set, really. "Town" defines it. 6990 and (...) (26 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Monorail Question —Joshua Delahunty
(...) Indeed. :-) - I concede your reasoning WRT the 2x4 Brick. My point being that a common, rare, element between sets will not define the type of set (for me, anyway). Your point, that that monorail track sections and the 2x4 bricks are vastly (...) (26 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)
