From my limited experience buying / selling sets, most of the people who
buy are LEGO enthusiasts (I prefer to call myself a LEGO extremist! :) )
I am sure that some people
that do collect, but for the most part, when I buy / sell a MISB, I know
the parts are there, no sticker problems, etc. I bought a open 4031
fireboat from setzilla a few months back, and it was missing the weights
for water. It wasn't a big deal, because it isn't going in real water
anyway.
