    Catalog nostalgia —Tobias Möller
Take a look at theese two catalog scans from BrickShelf: (URL) compare them to todays catalogs. While the 2000 catalog has a drawn boy with sunglasses, these catalogs have real children in them. There are a lot of text boxes saying how creative you (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Yes, Lego has decided that kids nowadays prefer to destroy rather than build, and are attemping to adapt their "building toy" to this trend.      You collect Lego catalogues and fliers and stuff? Is there anything you're looking for? As a kid, I never threw any of it away so I still have stuff going back to '83 or so. -- Paul Davidson Frank Buiting <frank.buiting@infopulse.nl> wrote in (...)        They're all just catalogs that Brickshelf has already.       (...) I'll also check my collection with that of Brickshelf's. I do have some theme- specific catalogs (Fabuland, Trains sets only catalogs) that I haven't seen on the Brickshelf. -Frank (24 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

Where are we going with this... Does this herald the advent of the one-piece Lego model?
