To add to my point -- you know all of those people using "brick" as part of their site names? Well, "brick" is a registered trademark of several different organization. Any one of these, by the logic of "no trademarks in domain names" could (and (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Matthew is absolutely right. Many companies try to take their trademark nonsense way too far, usually without legal basis. I remember a recent case (perhaps relevant here, noting Matthew's web address) where Toys'R'Us was going after a collecting (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Hi I did metion the phone call about the domains It was : www.legotechnic.co.uk In which, was my mistake, and i belive there is no legal action taken agaist me beacuse i am giving up the domain of www.legotechnic.co.uk to lego without any hassle. (...) Yeah. The USPTO has a searchable database at <URL:(URL). There's also a few others which provide prettier front ends to the same data.
