No, the Purple in the Belville set I was refering to is the same as the
McDonalds Set Purple.  You called it Indigo above.

Transparents:

....

You can add a Trans-Pink to your Transparent colors list.  This is also
found in the Princess Rosaline Belville sets.

....

Two other colours that could be included from Belville are what look like a
blueish grey
used in some baseplates (eg. the 5805)

This is actually a very light purple.  I call it Pastel Purple.

and a yellowy sandy colour which I
think I'd
refer to as 'buff'  which is ued in the castle tower pieces in the princess
story
sets (5805, 5807, 5808). However I don't want to put these in based only
on seeing them in the catalogue unless someone actually has the sets and • can
confirm their existence.

I can confirm this one for you.  It is a much lighter, less intense yellow.
Again, in my parts inventories, I refer to it as Pastel Yellow.

And then (not that it matters, but...) to be consistent, I call what your
refering to as 'very light paradisa green', Pastel Green.  Just my
convention.  But it gives you an idea of the intensity of the colors.  They
are very muted.

Belville also has a flesh colour on the people, and
scala
may have some other colours - but to be honest here I'm getting reluctant • to
categorise these as 'Lego' (The Belville baseplates are clearly • conventional
Lego bricks but the figures?

The feet of the Belville figures are 1x2 'stud receptors', and their hands
hold the same size rods that regular Minifigs do. But their hands don't work
as studs, like a minifigs hand does.

As far as I'm aware, transparent yellow is now obsolete
(replaced by day-glow yellow-green) - can someone confirm?

I don't think its obsolete.  I'm pretty sure I've gotten some recent stuff
with Trans-Yellow.  Based on a catalog pic, it looks like the Model Team
Diesel Rig 5563, comes with several 1x1 round plates that are Trans-Yellow
(at least they look Trans-Yellow and not the Trans-Yellow-Green/Neon color
to me).

(...) Which Belville set were your referring to ? I have a 5870 and I don't see anything close to the McDonalds purple. Ray (25 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Lot's of responses to this. Based on everyone's comments and a couple of other things I remembered, I've revised the list. New list follows, with some comments inline and other comments following... We're now on 35 colours - close to the 41 someone (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
