  Re: Lego WIndows Complaint (still)

(...) I have been playing with the transparent pieces, as opposed to windows, to make skyscrapers. (URL) of the parts for this building have come from S@H over the last couple of months. I think the results are ok for the common place "bland tall (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Google servers

(...) Interesting.... On the placard next to the cabinet in the first picture it says "10 of these drives were assembled and placed in a low cost cabinet" (or something to that effect) Well if it was low cost, that must mean it was definitely Mega (...)   Re: Lego WIndows Complaint (still)

(...) While I agree that more types of windows are a good thing, I don't think they are absolutely necessary for constructing decent skyscrapers. I use black bricks for the windows on many of my skyscrapers. The results aren't perfect, but I find (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Samsonite LEGO - 005 Discovery Set

Lugnet needs a new guide entry for the following set: 005 Discovery Set Also, Lugnet has a date of 1971 for the similar 004 set. However, I found this reference which shows 1966: (URL) Gear Set (1966) 002 Motor Pak (1966) 003 Master Mechanic Set (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Lego WIndows Complaint (still)

The single biggest complaint I have about TLG is that unlike 40 years ago, today there is no "system" for windows. Yes they have 2x2 windows in white, 1x4x5 windows in black, and other sizes in other colors currently available. But there is no (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Complete LEGO color reference

(...) But they do have it linked from the main page. On the left side there's a bulleted list of indexes, and the official color chart is the bottom link on that list, right above the PayPal and Amazon.com mini-banners. (22 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Local radio station having LEGOLAND promotion

A local radio station is having a promotion where you can get 3 general admissions to LEGOLAND California for $50 (Retail price $132). I don't think you have to be an AZ resident to qualify, so if you're interested go to (URL) purchase. There are 80 (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New Quatro bricks

(...) I have these bricks, and I can say a kid is going to get hurt on them if they fall on them - sharp edges or not they will still do damage. I think the only bricks Lego has made that will not hurt if you fall onto them is the soft bricks they (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.quatro, lugnet.general)

  Re: New Quatro bricks

(...) They were made out of a softer plastic for three basic reasons, according to my Toy Fair showroom guide: less expensive parts (this is a big concern for toys that are really only intended for a very small age-range, since parents won't want to (...)   Re: New Color in Alpha Team

  Re: New Knight's Kingdom Prices

Besides, not only was the promo restricted to playing cards, but they were actually produced by Upper Deck, not TLC, so I'm not sure how (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Spiderman Building with all the black steep slopes...

Re: Spiderman Building with all the black steep slopes...

  New Quatro bricks

Hi, Just got set 5356, the medium sized Quatro bucket. And it's correct, the bricks are made of softer plastic (and they look VERY MUCH like MB's pre-school bricks!). In fact, the plastic is so soft, that the bricks have very little gripping power. (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.quatro, lugnet.general)
