Re: Lego seems to be copying Mega Blocks

(...) I asked a while back about that (the military stuff) but of course those suggestions didn't have much reception (as always : ) Releasing a military legends line would be quite interesting (imagine, awesome parts packs with killer designs.   Re: LEGO, kids, and how it has come to this

(...) !!! Perhaps this also represents just the range of kids - my son (5, at the time) put 90% of the Mars Exploration Rover together with just the Lego instructions (the last 10% was becasue, after something like 5 hours and it being past his (...)   Lego seems to be copying Mega Blocks

But they only seem to be copying the bad stuff (for the most part anyway) Lego seems to be copying Mega Blocks colors (c.f. the new greys) and also Mega Blocks quality (c.f. the talk about poorer quality parts) But they dont copy the good stuff :( (...)   Will the instructions for this contain both models?

Will the instructions for this set contain instructions for both of the models featured in the instructions for the origonal set? If they wont (which IMO would be a poor decision on the part of TLC), perhaps the instructions for the second model can (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

Does anyone have the address or map for this place? A search did not come up with any results :-( S (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.general)

Re: New version of 5827 Belville Coach

(...) These have just turned up in Tasmania (and presumably the rest of Australia). Myer Hobart (Tasmania) have heaps of them at $A39.99 each, nearly half the price of the original set. I did wonder if we were going to get them or only Denmark! I (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.belville, lugnet.loc.au)

LEGO, kids, and how it has come to this

Although the neighborhood knows there are a lot of LEGO bricks at our home and that big things go in and out from time time, we don't get a lot of walk-up traffic from curious kids. Today, however, a 9 year old and 10 year old came by with an (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.general, FTX) !

  Re: Announcing new Legend!

(...) I think you can be a fan of the system without being a fan of the company. And I think you can be a fan of the company without being a fan of every decision that it takes. So I don't agree that Greg is no longer an AFOL. (...) I don't want (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

  Re: Announcing new Legend!

(...) Had you read (URL) this post> by Greg, you might have noticed this: As far as leaving, keep dreaming. Just because I am no longer a Lego customer, on a retail level, doesn't mean I am giving up on my enjoyment of what I have or the hobby in (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Announcing new Legend!

(...) AFOL means "Adult Fan of LEGO." Clearly you are no longer a fan of LEGO. So please go away so that the rest of us can have our LUGNET back. --Bill. (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

Re: From the mouth of babes and just what is going on!?

(...) Ok, I did go a little too far with that comment, I admit that, my mistake. Everything else however, I am standing by it. Perhaps another spin on it: How many times since Lego first introduced train sets have they changed the track size and (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: From the mouth of babes and just what is going on!?

(...) [snip] (...) Whoa whoa whoa! Not cool. This is a legit report from a consumer that is appropriate for LEGO to hear. My own children don't care about the color change, nor do I think they've even noticed it, but that doesn't mean others (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) Interesting idea! It does raise a good question, which color is most important if you could change one back. I'd like to suggest (as a reader) that this part of the thread be moved over to lugnet.color, or at least kept out of (...)   Re: From the mouth of babes and just what is going on!?

(...) Personally, your daughter comes across as being extremely stuck up and nearly teetering on spoiled. The thing that is getting lost in this the most is the fact that Lego, as awesome as it is, is a toy. Everyone who is a member of Lugnet has a (...)
