  Re: Deal me in

(...) image snipped (...) Sorry for not replying sooner Joe. Wow! I had forgotten about half those pictures. I really enjoyed having you over here as well, along with Felix and Eric the next day. I had a first, too, you were the first AFOL I've ever (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.fun, FTX)

  An Introduction

Good afternoon, I've been posting a bit, every now and then with my work email, so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Brian Gefrich, and I'm the Team Lead at the LEGO Outlet at Potomac Mills, Virginia. I've been with Brand Retail for about (...)   Re: ACNielsen surveys - any winners?

I have actually entered quite a bit. And I have won once. Around January 5th, I got an email like this: "It is with great pleasure that I can inform you that your name has been drawn out among the participants in the Lego internet survey, and that (...)   Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

(...) I have only one wish: Bring the "old" colours back. I can make my own legends if I want to, but not without the old grey and brown. did you ever see a blueish-grey castle? Ridiculous! Leo (22 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

  ACNielsen surveys - any winners?

Hi all, I have during the year or two answered to A LOT of the AC Nielsen surveys for LEGO sets, as I guess have most of you other AFOLS. Just out of curiosity: have any of you ever won anything? There's no limit date on the surveys, no clue on when (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) Um, could you be refering to (URL) by any chance? Of course, they'll be hard to find new in those colours soon :-( To save posting again, here's my wish list for what it's worth: 1) Any of the 'missing' roof pieces. By 'missing' I mean all the (...)   Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) You mean like the dark-grey 1.5 stud pin, but with the short end being an axle? (...) Brick, or slope? (22 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) On the subject of halves...a technic pin, with half a stud's worth of axle on one side and a regular pin on the other. Also a 3x3 corner. -Mike (22 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) Hmm, a la carte parts, let me see. 1. A 1x2 triple slope in 33 degree version would be handy. 2. Half of a 2x2 round brick. Perhaps it would be a 1x2 half round brick? 3. Half round plate to match macaroni radius. Called 2x4 half round plate? (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Event name abbreviations

In organizing my photos, I've been using descriptive identifiers such as "BricksWest-2003", "NWBrickCon-2002", and "BrickFestPDX-2004" in directory names and filenames. These get the job done, but they're becoming unweildy to deal with in long names (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.general)

Re: Clubs/Events - Tips and Tricks

(...) Basically what Chris and Dave said. But here's some other things I think are core to any group, be it Lego, needlepoint or whatever.... 1. Leadership. Summary: "Just Do It!". Like a bunch of Linux nerds chatting about how they're going to (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.events)

Re: Clubs/Events - Tips and Tricks

(...) I think this is important. Lego may be a common ground, but not everyone will fit into a group. And it isn't your goal to catch everyone. We know there are at least ten or more Lego fans in Toronto who don't come to our events--because they (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.events)

Re: Clubs/Events - Tips and Tricks

Re: What is the point of having shop @ home??

(...) Well, wow! Thank you VERY much Kerry - I may actually be able to get some S@H stuff now :) My parents are paranoid about ordering on the net (and being 16, I don't have a Credit Card yet.) So this is really good stuff! And to think, here I was (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

Re: So why all the whining about the color changes?

(...) The official reason given for the color change was that new colors were less "muddy" and would be more appealing to kids. No mention was made of the new colors being cheaper to produce (although that hasn't been denied). But Jake McKee has (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: So why all the whining about the color changes?

(...) I still hold out hope for the return of the old colors, especially after TLC's reversal on the Duplo/Explore name. But there are good reasons for expressing displeasure to TLC even if you don't think they will reverse the color change: Even if (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)
