  Re: Happy birthday, Minifig!

(...) It seems like only yesterday... (...) Hmmm... 25 years will mark the expiry of (some of the) minifig patents too... which could be interesting (I note that the head (more or less), the pigtail girl hair, the peaked cap and the cowboy hat are (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Happy birthday, Minifig!

(...) *raises her glass to the Minifigs* - "And here's to the next 25 years! long awaits the 50th Anniversary" *applauds* Let's hope that Lego keep them as they are... but I have to say, the new colours for 'hair' is a nice treat - hope they will (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Happy birthday, Minifig!

Hello! (URL) 1978 the LEGO tadpoles (the old minifigs without extremities) finished off their metamorphosis, and they got arms and legs. For 25 years now, Minifigs have been living in the Towns, Castles and various Planets of our Legoland, the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general) !!

  Re: Brick Sorting

When I started organizing, I just used big cupbord pull-out trays. I organized the Bricks first. I put all the red bricks in one tray, all the red slopes in another tray, and all the red inverted slopes in a third tray, as the trays were fairly (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) Alex, The technique used depends on the size of your collection. After a certain point, putting all of a color in a bin becomes excessively difficult to use especially with black. Obviously the "perfect" sort would have all pieces sorted by (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.storage)

  Brick Sorting

Being the New Year and all, I made but one resolution that I truly want to carry out: sorting my Lego collection. Scanning through Brickshelf, I've noticed a lot of pictures with an array of sorting bins, containers, boxes, etc. My question to the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: 2 new parts in new racer sets

(...) I must agree with this...I think the 1 x 2/1 x 4 bracket has also appeared in the <set:10030 Imperial Star Destroyer> in dark gray. The other part you mentioned I believe is totally new...but I could be wrong. There are a few other Racers sets (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.general)

2 new parts in new racer sets

Hi all, Here in Denmark some small new racer-sets have been available for a couple of weeks (sets 8358, 8359, 8360). There are some useful new parts: In set 8359 a light grey bracket (like part 2436) - not 1x2/1x4 though, but 1x2/2x2. In set 8358 a (...)   All LEGO Be Mine (Auld Lang Syne)

It's late, I was bored, and I wrote a little new years LEGO shopping song. It's not very good, but I invite feedback and encourage others to post their own versions. Here goes: ---...--- Should old minifigs be forgot, And all used bricks be mine, (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Happy New Year!

I plan this to be the first post of 2003 in my own time (Eastern time). Pretty unlikely, but I can try! :) Happy new year! -JHK (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What's the big deal about the Mini TIE?

(...) Hehe, I remember seeing that. I thought "Wow, what a lame set!" But still, business is business. Kind of sneaky, yet funny. ~Evan Butzlaff (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Help defend the artist! (was Re: Brick Testament site linked with child porn case??!!)

(...) This is what I had to say... I have been a LEGO® enthusiast since childhood, and I find Fionnula Bourke's report to be offensive in that it attempts to link "The Brick Testament" with the likes of child pornography. Brendan Powell Smith (the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.general)

I need some help aranging some colors...

I have about 35 different colored 1x2s. I want to arange them in order of there colors. Is there a good color spectrum chart I can refer to? I have looked at the color charts both on bricklink and lugnet but they dont seem to be in a proper rainbow. (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Brick Testament site linked with child porn case??!!

(...) Hey, thanks for digging. What was the magic search string? I gotta say, while I won't be pasting the page up into my copy of "Ten best designed web pages ever" (I hate stuff that blinks), it's pretty tame stuff indeed. (23 years ago, 1-Jan-03, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.general)

Re: Where are the 2003 Lego retail catalogs?

(...) I'm wondering too, having just opened 3562 and 3563 (NBA Collector Packs) and found nothing. I wasn't expecting a catalog, but there wasn't even a fold out pamphlet or a LEGO Club Membership offer. Maybe they'll be in sets shipped later... (...) (23 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)
