Hello!

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Jojo/sonstiges/25jahreminifig.jpg

In 1978 the LEGO tadpoles (the old minifigs without extremities) finished
off their metamorphosis, and they got arms and legs. For 25 years now,
Minifigs have been living in the Towns, Castles and various Planets of our
Legoland, the Minifigs that we know and love today, as well as back then.

So rise your glasses to propose a toast to this wonderful ...human... being.
May the next 25 years be as prosper as the past has been!

Cheers
Jojo

(...) I consider the minifig to be a perfect representation of humanity. Long may it reign in our hearts and on every Christmas, birthday, and toy shopper's list for many years to come! -Harvey (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) It's nice to see the minifig has made it 25 years. (Even with the recent release of the "maxifigs" JackStone and Tina and Max) It would be great to see LEGO make a minifigure pack...say about $30...that included one minifigure from each year (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) Wassssup (...) -Raising glass of milk while everyone else raises an actual drink- Long Live the Minifigs! May we see them in better sets in the years to come. (Perhaps things that are like the sets of old, before my day?) Hasta la Vista, Sean (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) (raises a glass) here's to those selfless little folks that brave pets and vacuum cleaners to turn our castles, towns, racetracks, and space colonies more than just collections of bricks and into living, breathing places. Here's to you, (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)
