  Re: Rules Talk: JumpShip Ideas

(...) Well, technically, his engineers are looking at your ship's upgrade from Spraw, and if he negotiates with you to do so, he will take the plans and try to duplicate the engines. He is considering, for game-play fun, saying that they can't (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  Re: Rules Talk: JumpShip Ideas

(...) His society developing it? Richard, you know I expect a share out of this, right? :) Can't wait to get my Junk Ship zipping around on its new drive... -JHK (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  Re: Rules Talk: JumpShip Ideas

First of all: Oh my God! What happened to the text?! It's all...weird. Anyway... Very good explanation. It works very well. My ships have a modified form of this jumpdrive, but I don't use it in Starship. It's how I get across the galaxy in 5 (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, FTX)

  Re: Rules Talk: JumpShip Ideas

(...) (grins) It stems from our use of the term JumpGates. I honestly do not recall which of the participants first provided that particular term here in Starship, although surely it has been used in other Sci Fi before. But early during game (...)   Re: Rules Talk: JumpShip Ideas

(...) <remainder snipped> JumpShip? Hmmm...am I detecting the influence of the venerable GDW "Traveller" (the original one) here? :) I must find my copy of "High Guard." It's been too long. Hopefully one day I'll be able to take part in all of the (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship)

  Re: outta time...

(...) Ouch. Sorry to hear this my friend. Although we all understand that Real Life must take precedence over this hobby sometimes. We certainly hope you don't slip into a full-fledged or long-lasting dark age. ...I will keep your ships and sectors (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship, lugnet.general)

  outta time...

Sup all, Don't know how much this affects anybody, but because of a lot of stuff I have to do now I have nearly no time for lego.   Re: Dan...

(...) No. Thanks anyway. Every email I have sent to you, you have recieved. Randomly changing things at my end is not indicated and is just a waste of time. There have been (as far as I know untested) rumours that yahoo accounts having difficulty (...) (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship)

For Hendo: Minus One Player in Arbor

JHK has quit Arbor. I let you know so you can begin his galactic emails and such. Wish he'd stayed, but he didn't. ~Dan (21 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship)

Re: Use of the LEGO(r) name/trademark in game instructions

(...) And it would be used respectfully. (...) I wouldn't even think of it. :) The game has a name (not yet finalized) that suggests the nature of the mechanism, but does not include the company name in any way. (...)   Re: Dan...

(...) Lsa202? That's intentional. I operate with many email addresses. Lsa202 is outgoing for Arbor. Lego_dan44 takes in Derelict and New Pacific emails. (...) I've recieved both. I've sent a lego_dan44 reply, not yet a demosthenes. Have you recieved lego_dan44? I'll send demosthenes reply ASAP. ~Dan (21 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship)

Re: Use of the LEGO(r) name/trademark in game instructions

I think it comes down to how you use the trademark. Using it in the name of the game will not fly (because people could assume the game was a product of TLC). Mentioning in the game rules that TLC makes an excellent set of LEGO sets that can be used (...) (21 years ago, 9-May-03, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Dan...

(...) Dan, I have also noticed some of your emails are coming from your LSA address. Or is that intentional and just from Arbor? -H. (21 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.gaming.starship)
