Can the organizers of BrickFest PDX 2007 tell us who (if anyone) will be profiting from this year’s event?

Here we go again. Well to say that Joe brought in a profit of $13,000 is not exactly correct as his total expenses, if I remember, were not delineated in his accounting . His labor and personal expenses, mileage, trip costs, etc were not factored in.

So a more accurate statement would be that Joe earned $13,000. As far as BrickFest goes, I think all financial statements of the organizing committee are the property of the organizing committee and should remain private to them. We really have no business getting into their business.

And that of course goes for BrickWorld and any other event.

(...) The word "profit" was Joe's: The total profit that went to BrickJournal Media LLC was about $13,000. This is in addition to the $3,000 that went to AMH Productions for use of the BrickFest name, as determined by an agreement that was signed in (...) (...) Tommy: Here, here! I agree. Everyone else: Here's where I boldly go where I probably shouldn't. Conventions cost money. There is money to pay for licensing fees, building usage, etc. If there is a profit, it (usually) does not go into the (...) (17 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)
