(...) Getting through security on amtrak might will probably be your biggest issue. I take the metro down to the FAA in the mornings, and there's no big deal about security. (...) I think the "fun" is the collectablilty of the containers. It's natural for the designs to change over time thus making each container a type of time capsule of the event they were swapped at. It's been much reported on the news that the security clampdown on DC is having an effect on drivers -- does that apply only to DC proper, or also to surrounding communities such as Arlington?
