  Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE (follow-up count)

(...) David Wegmuller worked out a standard last summer that I think should be adopted. See (URL) and the ensuing thread. --Bill. (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE (follow-up count)

(...) At NW BrickCon we had monorail track at +0, +10, and +20 (and even a small amount at +30 I think). +20 was necessary to clear most modules since it turns out it's easiest to just run the track whereever. However, if a station is actually built (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

  Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

(...) :) Now that is a contest! (...) That could happen as well, using the lego from/in the k8 room.. I think that it may be a good idea to challange the individual/lug prior to the fest, the actual creation can be decided (by the audience) at the (...)   Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE (follow-up count)

(...) I agree, if there's a concern about fitting the rails past the station module we can just configure the modules accordingly. Either way, Troy, it would be great if you brought a station. We'll make it work! Felix (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

  Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE (follow-up count)

(...) I think the NWBrickCON guys just had the monorail track set to a height of two of the large black pedestal pieces. Add a slope to get it down to one height and build the monorail at that level, i'd think. That seems to be good enough of a (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

(...) long as (...) would (...) I was thinking along the lines of a standard height and placement for the track within the module, so that it would hookup with track from adjacent modules without problem. I'm not even sure if this is possible with (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

  RC Racer contest?

Hello all, would anyone be intrested in having an RC racer contest.. I'm not sure what this would be quite yet, my thoughts are to use a portion of the GMU parking lot (on the Saturday or Sunday) and set up race course, either an oval, or an actual (...)   Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE (follow-up count)

(...) No, there's no standard as of yet, but that could be one of the things we discuss. To be honest, I'm not sure what a standard would involve. As long as it has room to zoom around and a place for figs to get on and off of it, I would think (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

I just want to encourage some fun competition between indivudals/lugs/organizations, for example I may choose to challange you to a competition to build the best line follower robot (since thats what your good at :) (...) I believe I could match anyone when it comes to building a LEGO robot to compete, but my design skills may fall short when it comes to building a realistic looking church, or a train that can pass for something you've (...)   Re: Lug/LTC Challenges...

So we know that 13 people can build a Star Destroyer in a few hours... We have seen amazing creations come out of the minds of many... How would people feel if we held a brick-olympics of sorts.   Re: Transportation to central PA after Brickfest?

Re: Transportation to central PA after Brickfest?

(...) XPost to lugnet.loc.us.pa.phi.har Bill, there may be some folks from Harrisburg (100 miles south of Williamsport) attending this year. I'm in York but haven't decided if I'm going yet. CEO Aaron Sneary here. Secondary Systems reports that they will be presenting scale models of two Marsbase modules.   Transportation to central PA after Brickfest?

Here's the plan... My wife and I to fly to Washington DC in time for Brickfest. She'll drop me off at the 'fest and head off to Williamsport, PA (in a rental car) to visit her family. After BF is over, I need to find some way to join her there. It (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE (follow-up count)

(...) My appologies for the unintended spoiler, Admiral Giddens. ;) As for a cooperative module, that would be cool! It would be nice to get some actual building in *during* the Fest.
