Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

(...) Frank, While I was not able to participate at the fest I have an idea or two: - Maybe an Imperial Ship would act as a police type presence. Entering at a random or GM determined point. Sort of on patrol and seeking to eliminate any ship it (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.pirates)

Re: well wishes /coverage/ Thank you!

(...) This is a GREAT idea. It works better for creations that don't move around but even they could benefit. Just have each room get a unique letter prefix and have the room coordinator start handing out numbers as models appear. (or have a big box (...)   Re: well wishes /coverage/ Thank you!

(...) [snip] Kudos to all participating, presenting, planning and covering BrickFest(tm) 2002. I am still enjoying the reports and photos appearing about this marvelous event.   Wow...(a late thank you)

is about the best way that I can describe Brickfest. Thanks to the organizers for setting up and managing Brickfest. I had a wonderful time taking a look at all the MOCs and talking to all the fellow attendees I met. In fact, it was the atmosphere (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: It was great meeting people at BrickFest!

It was a special moment to actually have someone come up to me and say how much of a pleasure it was to finally meet ME. Over the course of the entire weekend I did that to quite a few of my idols, but Todd, you were the one who made ME feel (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.people)

Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

(...) Yes, thanks to the Animation folks for not needing their room. I think we also gained one or two players who got suckered into the game instead of playing with animation stuff... But you were a help on Friday. You came up with a couple (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.pirates)

Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

(...) Definitely would have helped. Over the next months, I plan on organizing all my minifigs, so I may make up bags of pirate crews which would speed up that part. More islands certainly would have helped. (...) I've never quite figured out the (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.pirates)

Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

(...) I'm sorry to have rebuffed you. I have been trying to figure out just how to use non-pirates in the game. There needs to be some additional background work done. I am also afraid that such additional background detail may be an additional load (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.pirates)

Grr... I'll probably respond to all the comments tonight. I have one post on it's way, but something in our firewall at work is making it take a minute or two to open an NNTP connection, and I hate editing messages in the web poster (no spell check (...)   Re: Bill Changing Machine

(...) I think seeing machines at LUG events would be awesome! no reason it can't be done, other than being careful to avoid "confusion" of TLC involvement. I'd recommend slapping a big LUG sticker on the side of the machine and NOT putting a LEGO (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.fun.party)

Re: The Pirate Game at BrickFest 2002

Thanks for the fast writeup, Frank! And thanks again for running such a great game.   BrickFest 2002 Animation Festival and Animation Competition Awards

I returned home late last night from BrickFest 2002 exhausted. It was a good exhaustion though, the kind that you get after a really rewarding experience.
