I think seeing machines at LUG events would be awesome! no reason it
can't be done, other than being careful to avoid "confusion" of TLC
involvement. I'd recommend slapping a big LUG sticker on the side of
the machine and NOT putting a LEGO logo anywhere near.

TLC may be concerned about 'cheapening' their product by letting it be
seen in such a machine. (I know I don't expect much quality from those
things.) Perhaps if it were done at an FAO or something..
In my wildest dream, I'd go to the LEGO store where there were walls of
elements. like those walls of bulk candy at the mall.. Mmm

On a related note.. JimG and I had some involvement with this project:

Six or so months ago, we met the creator and got prep'd for submitting
our art to a machine in S.Carolina. Of course I would've loved to put
some sorta custom LEGO kits in there, but that's not really what it's
about. Anyhow, just goes to show that it's not impossible to go the
'renegade' route.
