Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Rob Doucette
(...) OK, I scanned a few pages for the new Explore brochure which is include in the packaging. The train pics are on the last page: (URL) you can see, LEGO is not discontinueing (sp?) Duplo, they are rebranding and expanding the line to include (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-02, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Mark Papenfuss
(...) I am not seeing many Duplo bricks there - only one or two of the sets really has more than what looks like 3 bricks. I hope they have more bricks than they are showing.... Otherwise I am running out to the store and getting some duplo tubs (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-02, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Julie Krenz
(...) I saw one of the new Explore sets at Wal-Mart today. It was a yellow bucket and could have easily still said Duplo. There doesn't seem to be too much difference between Explore and Duplo, at least that was the case with this bucket. Bricks and (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Maggie Cambron

Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Deidre Rushton Brumby
(...) I'd guess this will happen when the moulds have to be replaced due to wear. I actually do/did have new Duplo bricks bought in the last 2 years with Lego stamped on them rather than Duplo. These were most likely from buckets manufactured in (...)           Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Suzanne D. Rich
(...) I just saw this bucket today too. It's different in its construction from prior buckets. It lacks a handle, having instead a curved lip around the rim. Also, the studs on the lid said, "LEGO" rather than "DUPLO". I was a little frustrated by (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jul-02, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Arne Lykke Nielsen
(...) I bought one yesterday (in Copenhagen); it's number is 4082. All the red and light green bricks were imprinted with "Duplo", while all the blue and yellow and trans-blue bricks has "Lego" imprints. Arne (22 years ago, 9-Jul-02, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Mark Papenfuss
(...) *whew* That is good news. I wish they would have put a pic of the bucket in their catalog, woulda saved me some heartache, lol! Although I did get 2 Duplo tubs at Target while I was picking up some of the J.F. Slave I's. I am looking foward to (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-02, to lugnet.duplo)

Re: LEGO stops DUPLO —Deidre Rushton Brumby
Thanks Rob! Overall, I'm not that impressed with the new products, I hope there is more to it than that. Was interesting to note that the figures etc remain, I see Wendy's ponytail has made it onto standard Duplo figures. I quite liked the new frog (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.duplo)
